Care labels are only required to give you one appropriate method of care for an item. Generally an item that can be washed is labeled as "Washable." But, some items, such as some sweaters, may be labeled "Dry clean" even if they also can be gently washed. Items that are labeled "washable" often also may be dry-cleaned.
