What is the best method for freezing tomato juice and purée?

Select firm, sound, ripe tomatoes.  Wash, core, and cut into pieces.  Simmer about 5 minutes and put through food mill for juice.  Cool.  For purée, cook juice until concentrated to about half its volume. Pack tightly in freezer bags or rigid containers. Squeeze as much air as possible from bags before sealing. Leave 1/2 inch headspace for expansion in containers.
